An opportunity has arisen to join Central Hall Westminster as the Finance Director.

Location: Central Hall Westminster, Storey’s Gate, SW1H 9NH.

This is an office-based role; however we will consider hybrid or flexible working arrangements.

Central Hall Westminster (CHW) Ltd is owned by Trustees appointed by the Methodist Church; as such we aim to conduct business in line with the ethics of the Methodist Church and our Central Hall Venues (CHV) values. CHV is the brand name for the portfolio of venues run by CHW Ltd.

We are looking for an experienced Finance Director who will work closely with the heads of departments to ensure the Board, shareholders and other stakeholders receive timely, reliable, and relevant financial projections and analyses.

About you: 
You will be a member of the Board of Directors of the Company and contribute, together with the Executive Director team and the General Management Team (GMT), to the development, implementation, and delivery of Company strategy.

You will provide sound and insightful financial advice to the CEO, COO and Board of Directors, ensure the organisation’s financial controls are robust, and evaluate threats and opportunities to the organisation.  You will have a deep understanding of the event industry and partnering with our charitable organisation, its regulations, and reporting requirements.

You will work closely with the heads of departments to ensure the Board, shareholders and other stakeholders receive timely, reliable, and relevant financial projections and analyses.

You will be a forward-thinking individual who can drive financial performance and contribute to the overall growth and success of Central Hall Westminster.

You will have:

  • Experience at a senior level within finance, ideally to board level
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Excel
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Leadership skills to manage and motivate senior management and to manage internal and external conflicts
  • Time management skills
  • An ability and experience of leading a senior team
  • The ability to use judgment to make decisions
  • The ability to prioritise between tasks and delegate appropriately
  • Excellent planning skills to implement strategies to meet the organisation’s goals set by the board of directors
  • An understanding and sympathy to the values of the Methodist Church
